I don't know whether any of you are fans of spider-man, the comics or the movies but I am.
A trailer has come out recently for the new Spider-Man movie set to be released one year from now. The trailer is still buffering on my computer but I can honestly say that I’m actually keen to see this one, unlike Green Lantern, which was a meh movie cause of the massive reliance on CGI.
The movie seems to be truly redefining itself in the way they are adapting social norms from modern day society into a pre-existing character.
The character of Peter Parker is that of a loser, in the 1960's it was the smart, studious kid, the 'Nerd' that shaped Peter Parkers character, and you could see that, in the 2002 movie. In the reboot, however, they have changed the character of Peter to a social outcast.
The new Peter is a child who was abandoned by his parents at his aunt and uncle’s house when his parents went on a "business trip" and as a teenager can be seen as a loner, working in silence, not visibly having friends. Possibly not even showing his true potential intellect. (Which would be a great thing to develop as a side plot.) But he's still a little cool; he skateboards and listens to music on the go, and has a really hot (girl) friend.
And just like that, the character and the whole mythos that defined Spider-Man changes.
There is also a costume change, in the 2002 comics; the movie costume was a direct copy of the comic’s costume. here, it has more of a blue theme and is a lot more 'stealthy' in appearance... cause face it, blue just blends in a whole lot more with the New York skyline, than that big blob of red.

The actual bite scene is also changed, from being bit on the hand, it has, in my mind, been creatively, repositioned to the back of the neck, closer to the spine, (perhaps to make the actual transformation more plausible.)
Only real negative thing that I found with the trailer was the fact that the entire scene running through New York in costume was completely CGI’ed. Not Transformers 3 CGI, but video game graphics.
It’s a good trailer but to me, with the movie completed a full year before its going to be shown, means that there is still a huge chance at improving the graphics in post-production.
The Future Looks Bright for the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN!
